- Works with students, parents, and teachers/administrators
- Counsels students individually, and in small groups
- Helps to identify the needs of children
- Encourages better student relationships
- Promotes positive attitudes and good choices
- Coordinates referrals to outside agencies
- Provides preventive and developmental classroom guidance.
