Boston Elementary welcomes our new principal, Dr. Celeice Hood, a 15-year education veteran and Cherokee County native. She comes to Boston from Creekland Middle School where she was the eighth-grade assistant principal. Prior to that, Dr. Hood served as the Instructional Lead Strategist at Woodstock High School and was a middle school teacher in Fulton County. She completed her undergraduate degree in Marketing at the University of Georgia and a Master's degree in Education at Mercer University. Most recently, Dr. Hood earned her Ed. S in Educational Leadership and Doctorate at Kennesaw State University.
In her leisure time, Dr. Hood enjoys traveling with her husband and two children. One of her favorite destinations is London where she and her husband did a semester abroad at Oxford University. Beach trips are also high on her list of vacation destinations. Be sure to welcome her to the Boston Family!
Meg Martin, Assistant Principal

Mrs. Martin was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and moved to Georgia in 1986. A proud alumna of Woodstock High School, she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Reinhardt University in 2004. She later pursued her passion for education by obtaining her teaching certification from the University of Georgia and a Master’s degree in Special Education from Lamar University. Mrs. Martin also holds reading and dyslexia endorsements, reflecting her commitment to supporting diverse learners.
With 21 years of experience in Cherokee County, Mrs. Martin has taught all elementary grade levels and has served as a Special Education Facilitator across elementary, middle, and high school settings. Her broad background allows her to support both students and teachers while helping create strong, inclusive learning environments.
Mrs. Martin’s daughter, Gwendolyn, is a freshman at the University of North Georgia, where she is pursuing the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (P.O.S.T.) Basic Law Enforcement Certification as part of her criminal justice studies. Outside of school, Mrs. Martin enjoys spending time with her family and her black lab, Gertrude. Her hobbies include hiking and athletics, arts and crafts, reading, and relaxing by the pool.
She looks forward to partnering with students, families, and staff to foster a positive school environment that supports successful, happy learners and educators.
Kristin Mondich, TSA Administration

Mrs. Mondich was born in raised in Marietta, Georgia. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University. She went on to obtain her Master’s degree from Walden University and Specialist’s degree from Lincoln University, both in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. Mrs. Mondich has her Reading, Math, Gifted, and ESOL endorsements and obtained her Leadership Certification from West Georgia. She started her career in the Bartow County School District, but has spent the last six years in Cherokee County. She has experience teaching Kindergarten, Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grades. She is excited to continue serving on the Boston Administration team!
